Welcome to American Photo’s photo blog. We colorize black & white photos for museums, media, multi-media, and families like yours.

A visit to our website gets you started:

The year is 1927. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is in full-swing, as it was just a few days ago. In recent years, the parade balloons have gone corporate – with the mascots of Big Business. When many of us were kids, Saturday morning cartoon characters were the rage. But, here in the Roaring ’20s – most of the balloons featured characters that were unique to the parade – much like California’s Tournament of Roses Parade. At American Photo Colorizing, a parade just isn’t the same in black & white. So, we’ve given it our special colorizing touch – and Big Fish (no relation to Big Bird) looks much friendlier in full-color. Remember…OUR world isn’t black & white…neither was Big Fish’s”.

Christmas will sneak up on you before you know it. It isn’t too early to start looking through your family photo collection. A beautifully-colorized image of your ancestors (suitable for enlarging and framing) makes a wonderful keepsake for the entire family. This year, “Give the Christmas Present of Christmas Past!”
