The year is 1906. Here is British actress, Gabrielle Ray. Gabrielle was one of the world’s most photographed women at the turn of the 20th century – and she starred in many popular productions at top theaters in London’s West End. Ms. Ray’s theatrical career lasted until 1924. She struggled with depression – and in 1936 suffered a mental breakdown, and was institutionalized until her death in 1973. But, here in 1906, we can see the beauty that helped make her a great star of the stage.
At American Photo Colorizing, our goal is to shred the black & white veil that separates us from the exciting, vibrant lives of those who came before us. It’s time to “Go Color” with your vintage and antique family photos.
