The year is 1938. Over the weekend we said goodbye to a Little Giant – star of stage, radio, tv, and film, Mickey Rooney. Born Joe Yule in 1920, Mickey’s show business career spanned over 80 years. Here we see Mickey and his favorite co-star, Judy Garland in a malt shop scene from 1938’s “Love Finds Andy Hardy”.
A lot of care went into colorizing this image, as Mickey was, and will remain, a major icon of the Golden Days of Hollywood. He was a man of small stature who cast a long shadow. Mickey left us with a wealth of excellent films – and eight ex-wives.
He will never be forgotten.
At American Photo Colorizing, our goal is to shred the black & white veil that separates us from the exciting, vibrant lives of those who came before us. It’s time to “Go Color” with your vintage and antique family photos. Remember . . . your ancestors are counting on YOU!
