The year is 1912. ‘Horseless Carriages’ cruise onto a boardwalk along Southern California’s now famous surfin’ spot, “Rincon”. Today, Amtrak commuter trains hug the coastline, and the Ventura Freeway aka Route 101 winds it’s way along those very same cliffs.

This scene is located between Ventura and Santa Barbara – a 10 minute drive from American Photo Colorizing.com’s studio. Another popular surf spot, “Surfers Point”, is just a couple miles south of The Rincon. From the studio window today, the sky outside looks identical to the colorized photo.
